Java 2 SDK
This section describes the installation process of the Java 2 SDK (JDK), version 1.5.0 (MacOS X users can directly jump to the next section as Java is part of the operating system).
- Download the J2SE v 1.5.0_03 SDK from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp for Windows or Linux, depedending of your operating system, and save the installer on your hard disk;
- Launch the downloaded installer and follow the instructions of the wizard (accept the license agreement, select to install all the features and the target installation directory, register the Java Plug-in with your browser (optional)). Write down the target installation directory;
- Restart your system if requested by the installer.
